BT Synergy 5500 Trio Digital Cordless Phone Answer Machine

Saw the phone at a friends house and thought it would be suitable for my home. It is! Like the Sim card feature and clarity of the calls. The service was excellent, couldn't fault the whole process or the product.

Excellent product, I like that each handset can be adjusted to suit where its placed. Being able to transfer your numbers from your Sim Card is a really great feature. The service from Cordless Phone World has been second to none - Free P&P - Wonderful! 5 Star all round!

The phone system arrived within 48 hours of ordering, which was great. It was very simple to set up - a combination of clear instructions and intuitive handset features. To get around having to wait 24 hours (to fully charge handset batteries from the bases) I used a couple of my own fully charged AAA batteries in one handset until the other 2 had charged up. Then replaced them with the phone's batteries and charged as normal. No harm (apparently) done! Previous online research had suggested that the SIM card transfer feature was very helpful - it is! SMS messaging (caller display needed) feature is also extremely useful. The backlit display clearly indicates the 'message received' icon (along with missed calls and messages). Other, more negative, comments on the internet were aimed at the range of call tones. Probably a question of taste - they're not too bad, and there are a couple of standard electronic ringing tones among them. Another comment was that call history - including missed calls - had to be deleted from each handset, one by one. A little tedious, but then you could just leave them on. I found the text length allowance on the name part of the phone book (12 characters, including spaces, doesn't accommodate too many full names)limiting, but I think common to most phones. The reception sound is very clear and volume easy to adjust - speaker reception is very good, have had no complaints from callers either. The instruction leaflet is simple but adequate. Any detailed instructions can be downloaded from the internet. Despite this, I called their helpline for a couple of questions on transferring data from one handset to another (straightforward) and kicking off the SMS facility. Never too enthusiastic about the prospect of contacting any helpline (tired of wading through the warren of voice prompts button pressing and muzak) I was very pleasantly surprised. Relatively quick to get through and the support guy was really good. He was quick to understand what I needed to know and consequent instructions were very clear and easy to execute. All in all, delighted with both the product and the service. I have already recommended both.

Other than the wait for three weeks for more of the phones to come into stock I have been very pleased with the service provided by Cordless Phone World. The only negative regarding the 5500 has nothing to do with CPW but with the BT instructions not being totally clear resulting in contacting them via e-mail. But saying that they replied within half an hour so also provided a really good service.

Ordering and delivery very easy plus arrived exactly on time and date as promised.
